The basement areas host a permanent exhibition called "Jára Cimrman, a Genius who Failed to Become Famous" (photographs and various exhibits such as the bassinette in which little Jára Cimrman was raised, a wooden rocking horse, fire-brigade bicycle, an old hand-driven go-devil Louda). From June 2nd, 2005 there is a newly displayed section called "New Inventions with Jára Cimrman’s Handwritings Found in Archives of National Technical Museum and Plzeňský Prazdroj Brewery")
